The job
Your tasks involve operating different conventional and computer-controlled machine tools. Your skills can be required in operating:
- Manufacturing machines for our Schaeffler products
- Machine tools on which parts for machines and technical devices are manufactured.
The training
After receiving basic training in metal machining, you will acquire a range of skills such as:
- Preparing tools, setting up machines and organizing work processes
- Operating machine tools and monitoring the manufacturing process
- Checking and assessing workpieces, as well as documenting results and using quality management systems
- Programming computer-controlled machine tools
The training lasts 3 ½ years.
The minimum educational requirement is a secondary general school certificate (qualifying secondary general school certificate in Bavaria).
